Hi everybody! Welcome to my Inspire Reading Early blog! Are you a teacher, baby-sitter, nanny, parent, or guardian and in need of finding new/old and fun books for your children? You have come to the perfect spot! My name is Jenna and I love reading to children. I have been teaching in the Early Childhood field since 2011 and graduated with my Early Childhood License. I am now in pursuit of a Graduate Degree in Reading, Language, Literacy, and Culture. I believe that reading is so important in a child's life. I want to inspire adults to bring books to life for their children, students, or charges.

I have not just been teaching, but I have also been a baby-sitter/nanny for many years now. Sometimes I feel like Mary Poppins while other times I feel like Miss Andrew (Mr. Banks' not so friendly nanny when he was younger). Sometimes, I just don't know what to do with the children I baby-sit. Books are a great way to have an adventure with children. You can read anywhere: a tree house, an indoor fort (which the kids love to help make), the yard, in bed, or at the park. You can be creative... the setting helps children dive into their imaginations.

This blog is to help you find books that your young children or students will enjoy. I will also include an activity or game that can be used with the book. Some books I post you may have never heard of before, or it may be one of your favorites. Either way, I hope that this will help inspire you and your little one/s to read and indulge in more stories!
